It is your thinking that can contribute to the negativity affecting not only you but everyone around you. Negative people rarely have worthwhile goals or objectives in life. In fact, they slow you down any way they can and before you realize it, you are pushed to a gloomy path of self-pity and shattered dreams. You see that precious energy that you could have invested into doing something productive is instead wasted on negative, regressive thinking.
This negativity drains your energy to the point of creating stress and anxiety. When negative people surround you; the possible chance that positive change will occur is minimal, in fact very insignificant! Their influence in your life holds you back from embracing opportunities.
Sometimes you realize that the person who gives you toxic influence is too close in terms of the relationship making the situation worse. You’ve probably only heard about bullying at school, but did you know that people can have similar experiences within their families?
If you are influenced by mediocre people, you become mediocre yourself. Know that when you have self-esteem no one can push you around. Therefore, you must stand up for yourself and have the courage to face such threats born out of negativity. Don’t allow people to be the enemy of your creativity. It’s for you to realize that you are your best defense.
When people support you just the way you are, you feel good since your self-image gets a boost. You want them to care about your goals and rejoice when you succeed. People who aren’t supportive when you need them most and don’t seem to care about your accomplishments should rightly have no place in your life.
Hence surround yourself with people who encourage you to continue to grow and have the courage to let go of those who hold you back. Remember that if you let positive people help you, you yourself will become positive for you can only be as good as the company you keep.
