Knock knock: Don’t Miss Opportunities

Nothing puts me off more than the nagging feeling that I have been missing opportunities or priorities that I simply haven’t pursued. Maybe I could not put the skills I possess to full advantage. I suggest you think carefully about the opportunities you might be missing in your own life. They might not knock at your door once again.

I realized that when you fill your life with unnecessary commitments and obligations, often your body and emotions will tell you that you are out of balance. It is because of the stressful situations we put ourselves in, we fail to identify when opportunities present themselves.

We should pay attention to our stress level and our feelings of anxiety, irritation, or frustration. Once you’ve identified such feelings and their cause, you can take action to eliminate or at least reduce the source of your stress. We should always accept as true that there is another way to relieve ourselves of these stressful situations, there is.

Most of us have a habit of making our lives more complex than they need to be. We do this by including too many obligations and unnecessary tasks in our lives. We also complicate our lives with unhealthy relationships, jobs we dislike, and perceived failures. These complications distract us from what is truly important and meaningful to us.

Once you regain your balance, you are able to recognize these opportunities and might see how your life could be better, happier, and richer if you pursued them. This might take some effort, but if you miss these opportunities because of inertia or distraction, how will you feel later? Will you regret allowing them to pass you by like me?
